Pass Plus Lessons
What is Pass Plus?
It is 6 hours of additional training divided into 6 modules including motorway training
Is there a test?
No. A Pass Plus registered ADI can sign this off after the training.
Why Should I do it?
To improve you basic driving skills and you will be able to reduce your insurance costs
Do I get a discount on my insurance?
Yes up to 20%

Starting to Drive
How do I start?
Before you go on the road you need to be 17 and hold a valid Provisional Driving Licence and be able to read a new
style number plate with or without glasses at 20m.
How long will it take to pass?
Statistically the average is 45 hours of professional tuition plus 20 hours with a relative or friend.
This does vary from pupil to pupil
How do I get a driving licence?
You need to fill in a form D1. Available at the post office, or I can provide one. You can do it online if you have a
Digital Passport.

How much is a lesson?

How do I get A Driving License?
How do I get a driving licence?

You can apply 3 Months before you are 17.

Practical Test
Where is the Practical test centre?
Alder Road Cobridge, or Parklands Clayton Lane, Trent Vale, Newcastle under Lyme
What is the cost of a practical test?
Beginners will need 40 hours – £800.00. Costs will vary on depending on
pupils experience for those that have driven before.
What is independent driving?
For a 10 minute part of the test you will have to drive independently by following road signs, a series of instructions or a combination of both.

Theory Test Information
What is the theory test?
The theory test consists of two parts, a multiple choice section and a hazard perception section.
What is the pass mark and how many questions are there?
There are 50 questions & you need to get 43 out of 50 and score 44 out of 75 on the hazard perception.
How long is a theory test valid?
2 years. You must pass a practical test within this period.
Why do I have to do this?
You need to pass both parts before you can apply for a practical test.
